Assignment Brief:
You are required to investigate your own personal and professional skills and abilities with the view to improve these in time. To do this you must assess your own abilities, as well as the skills requirements of your organisation (or a suitable chosen organisation that you can access information from).You will then compile and submit a development portfolio.

 

























Submission Format 
This assignment is anindividual development portfolio which will contain 5 templates:

1 Personal SWOT

2  Management Skills Audit

3  Technical skills audit

4  Business Skills audit

5  Management Career Development Plan

Where appropriate you should support your comments with existing research and sources and reference this accordingly using the Harvard referencing system.The whole portfolio must be in printed format and should be submitted on Turnitin.You must ensure to include a bibliography at the back of your portfolio including all sources used in your portfolio.
Key Task:
 2.1 evaluate own current skills and competencies against professional standards and organisational objectivesTechnical skills audit

 2.4 devise a personal and professional development plan based on identified needsPPD plan ‘Goals and Objectives section x4’, so highlight at least 4 objectives using the SMART methods
 3.1 discuss the processes and activities required to implement the development planAs above 2.4, explain the how and why
 3.2 undertake and document development activities as plannedAs above 2.4, link to 2.1-2.3 (is this meant o be a log of actions-AVOID IF POSS)
 3.3 reflect critically on own learning against original aims and objectives set in the development planDiscuss measurement s and KPI’s that will confirm progression is happening, in line with objectives from 2.4

In addition to the above Pass Criteria: 
M1-Identify and apply strategies to find appropriate solutions – complex problems with more than one variable have been explored
M2-Select/design and apply appropriate methods/ techniques – the design of  methods /techniques has been justified
M3-Present and communicate appropriate findings - a range of methods of presentation have been used and technical language has been accurately used in portfolio
Grade Criteria at a Distinction

In addition to the above Merit criteria:
D1-Use critical reflection to evaluate own work and justify valid conclusions - conclusions have been arrived at through synthesis ofideas and have been justified
D2-Take responsibility for managing and organising activities - substantial activities, projects or investigations have been planned, managed and organised
D3-Innovative and creative thought have been applied in explaining factors that enhance or constrain learning.
